I was extremely excited when I woke up early this mornings surfing Macrumors when I found they released a Chipotle app so that you could place an order and not wait in line. i had made plans to have lunch with my mom today so as soon as I learned the news I gave her a call. I talked her into going to Chipotle and while I was on the phone I placed her on speakerphone and started ordering our lunch on my iPhone. We agreed to a time to pick it up and then I went up to the register there and our food was ready for us. We enjoyed our lunch and when I got home I received a call from a lady from Chipotle who made sure everything was satisfactory. I was deeply satisfied and very happy. I love Chipotle. 🙂

The best part is that of the app is it will remember your last and favorite orders so that you don’t have to go through the process again. The app also remembers your credit card information for ease. You decide what you want to add to you burrito, tacos or bowl and then you can also add more comments if need be.

Unfortunately Chipotle has removed the app from the Apple app store for some tweaking so it is no longer available to download right now.  They are looking forward to putting it up back soon. A bunch of users have explained that the app is buggy but I had no problem with it this morning,  thought it was a wonderful app, and  I was pretty darn impressed by it. Although i have noticed there is a problem with the last order and favorites appearing. I will try to post the link when they post the app back up in the app store.

Chipotle Mexican Grill No Longer Serving Student Drinks

In just the past couple of weeks there has been a very troubling event in my life and that is that Chipotle Mexican Grill is no longer serving student drinks. It used to be that if you slid right up to the cash register while paying for your food you could flash your student identification card and they would hand you a free regular drink. That was a nice break considering that a chicken burrito with guacamole was about $8 a trip. now, with a drink its over $9.

Now I first discovered this when I visited the Chipotle in Cerritos, CA when I requested a student drink while showing proper identification and the cashier declined. Now I immediately became suspicious because there was an event month earlier in which I visited the Chipotle in Orange, CA and the cashier told me they didn’t give free drinks. I told him I went to Chipotle all the time and they gave out student drinks so after giving me a hard time he simply laughed it off and said “Just kidding”. It was frustrating then and even more frustrating now as I was severely caught off guard. She notified me that they no longer gave out student drinks. I asked her if it was just at the one location but she said that it was company policy and was fact at all of their locations.

I am severely battered by this latest news as Chipotle is definitely up there on my top 5 favorite restaurants of all time. I do plan on still indulging in the great Mexican food there but I think I will have to cut back on my ordering because unlike their shirts say they’re meat isn’t free.

Zoom Whitening

I signed up for Zoom Whitening last Monday and went ahead and had my teeth whitened yesterday. It was great because using the website, I found the dentist nearest to my house with the cheapest price. In all everything was $300. That’s cheaper than the usual price at my personal dentist for trays that take weeks to use. I had a great experience with the whitening until the last session. During the second to last session she notified me that sometimes people have little sharp pains like they’re teeth were getting shocked. That is definitely what happened during my last treatment. I had a bunch of these little “zings” as they call them. It was painful driving back to my house as it was difficult trying to learn what I could do to stop or lesson them. Opening my mouth made it worse. During the day I took Advil and fell asleep which was nice. During the evening yesterday I was feeling better until I went to Chipotle. haha The rice was really hot and since my teeth were sensitive, it really hurt when I bit into the rice. That night i still had some pain but after that it was more like a toothache. Before I went to bed, I took some Advil and rubbed on some Orajel for toothaches along my gums. It felt like my gums were sorta warm but it really anesthetized the pain. When I woke up this morning everything was great. I haven’t felt any pain except my teeth are still sensitive to warm and cold things which should go away in a day or two.

Overall I have been so pleased and happy with how the process has turned out. I went about 9 shades whiter which was really great except with the way I drink Starbucks, I’m not sure how long that will last. However included with the treatment I received trays and more whitening gel so that I can whiten more or touch up if that Starbucks tries to touch my beautiful teeth. they also sell more gel so in the future if I run out of gel, I can go back and get some more.
