AdaptiveBlue Widgets

I posted information earlier about a great Netflix widget. However I was looking around some more and found another great Netflix widget. This widget is provided through AdaptiveBlue. AdpativeBlue is a great service if you want to add beautiful widgets to your website using RSS feeds from common websites. They provide widgets for services like Amazon, Blockbuster, Epicurious, iTunes, Last.fm, Netflix, New York Times, Rhapsody, Rolling Stone, Snooth, Wallstip, Wine.com, and Yahoo. The great feature is you don’t even have to have an RSS feed; you can show the best selling books off of Amazon or the music you’ve purchased off of iTunes. You can sign up for other features that include keeping track of stats, toolbars that help you see media reviews fast and easy, and also add great information to links about books, movies, music and stocks. Many of their features integrate with common platforms.

New Palm Treo 700 WX

I recieved a new Palm Treo 700 WX about a week ago because I had dropped my old Palm Treo 700 W. The service provider I have is Verizon Wireless and I have insurrance included with my phone. About amonth ago I dropped my old treo in the entry way on our tile floor. Now my phone has survived many impacts in its time but that last drop would be its last. Imediately the bottom of the phone split open and 4 of the screws popped out as the cover flew off. It was impossible to recover those screws but my phone was working fine eventhough there was a huge gap at the bottom.

Eventually my old phone was finished. It started falling appart sending transitors and what-not falling out the bottom. haha. It kept on working but it seemed with every part, it kept on getting a little slower and less stable. So I contacted the Verizon Insurance Agency and the representative was extremely nice and let me know that they discontinued the 700w and now used the 700wx. It

wasnt that much of a difference between the models except the colors were a little different and the new one had twice the RAM. The software was a little different except I had updated the old software to be the same as a 700 wx.

I definately love the new Treo 700 wx because the added RAM makes the phone more stable. I had alot of trouble with my old phone freezing up especially when it would send/recieve e-mail. It also froze alot when using the Internet Explorer web browser. Now I can do alot more and I can be more confident in using my phone without freezing. I cant wait to see the next new Palm Treo device.

    27 dresses poster

Last Thursday I was able to get tickets to a sneak preview of the movie, 27 Dresses. The movie itself was pretty good and my friend Kylee enjoyed it too. However there was something that was pretty sad and that was that the movie was sold out but I was only 1 of about 4 or 5 guys in the entire theater. I bought the tickets the day before on Fandango because I knew they would sell out. It was a great idea because we got to the Spectrum an hour and a half before the movie and the movie was already sold out. Then when we went inside the theater they had a girl posing in the 27 dresses dress and flyers of the movie out in front of her. It was pretty intense because the model was still out there by the time we left.

Yeah so today we arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada safe and sound at the Riviera. We had some fun downtown. Vegas is ever expanding and now is just HUGE! There are new hotels going up left and right like a new Wynn and the Trump Tower. Traffic down by the strip. I took forever to drive like 3 blocks. It’s a total overload of the senses with all the sights, sounds and uhhh… well smells. haha. Anyways we will be goin to bed soo and heading off to Colorado.

    [edit.]

At the same time I helped with entertaining the younger kids by having Vacation Bible School with them. Then in our extra time I went out and helped feed people in the poor parts of tow with our Care and Compassion Ministry.
